"More than ever, the rate of online sales continue to grow worldwide. Yet customers often feel a lack of personal connection on websites. For this reason, we are drawing the curtain open – we want you to know who is doing what at The Pen Family. I am proud to introduce my team, all of whom were brought together by their shared love of fountain pens. In my eyes, there are no team-members here – only gladiators!"
Emmanuel Caltagirone - "Head Honcho" CEO
Emmanuel is better known as Manu. He believes a well-crafted fountain pen is the most beautiful thing your hand can hold. Manu has been making and trading in pens for over 30 years, learning the craft from his father -- Nicolas Caltagirone. Honing his business and sales experience with his father and other pen manufacturers, he knew it was time to branch out on his own when OMAS went up for sale. He seized the opportunity to purchase the prized assets from a Chinese luxury group, and the rest is history. Since 2016, he has been making fountain pens to appease the growing appetite of collectors worldwide. At The Pen Family he does that and more -- we are constantly evolving and adapting. The only constant is the fountain pen and the ink that flows between it all. So...keep writing!
Elizabeth married into fountain pens. She met Manu on a flight, and the rest is history. Before that, she grew up between Venezuela, USA and Lebanon, attending international schools and working for top award-winning ad agencies. She's been writing, composing and performing for decades. Her love for storytelling and connecting people through story is as natural as ink flowing on paper. She is happy to call the pen community her "third tribe," the first being her family of five siblings, and second being her artistic music community.
